On November 18th at 7pm Temple Beth-El (3330 Grove Ave.) will host “A Painful Hope”: a dialogue featuring Rabbi Hanan Schlesinger (an Israeli settler) and Shadi Abu Awwad (a Palestinian youth director and activist). Both men are part of ROOTS—a grassroots movement fostering understanding, nonviolence and transformation among Israelis and Palestinians.
